So we've now been waiting almost a week for surgery, we have a solid date as of yesterday (Monday at 12 noon), and now Yana develops a runny nose and red eyes. We think its just allergies (change in environment - drier, different house) and a very perfumed detergent when she's used to the natural, perfume/dye-free that I get.
The bottom line is, we can't and the surgeon won't take any risks with this type of surgery. If something like a cold were to show up shortly after surgery, it would be very dangerous for Yana's recovery.
WE NEED YOU TO PRAY WITH US!! PRAY that first and foremost God's will is done. We don't always understand it right away or sometimes never, but we know that God loves us and our dear little one and gives us what we need, but not always what we want. And then PRAY for our acceptance whatever the outcome. Considering all that it has taken to get to this point, we would really like the surgery to be NOW! (See the last posting for full details.) Do I dare pray so specifically for what I want? I'm not sure... It's hard to understand why these things are happening.
We have contacted the surgeon, and he has asked us to page him tomorrow morning for a reassessment of Yana's condition. For now the surgery is not postponed....just up in the air!!!
We are confident in the power of the prayers of God's people, so please be on your knees with us in these next 24 hours.

Praying Day and Night

Jacob prayed a child's prayer today for Yana - which means Yana is getting prayed for day and night and we know how God receives the prayers of our faith-filled children. I love you Heather, Mike, Yana and BB.
