Hello everyone. Great news. Yana is doing fantastic. they are very impressed with how well she's doing. A wonderful and beautiful answer to so many prayers!! When we first got there this morning, she wasn't allowed to drink, and was desperate for it. But then the Doctor's rounds came around 9:30, and they gave the go-ahead for her to start taking both food and drink. Over the next 30 minutes, Yana sucked back two bottles, and a popsicle, with continued asking for more "milk" or "wine"(gingerale) everytime she ran out.
So she is awake and talking. Her speech is still a little slow and she sleeps a lot, but that's all normal and expected. She actually stayed up all night, so will probably sleep all day today again... But Heather and I are simply thrilled and grateful beyond words. Our God is awesome and powerful. Even though we have had times where we were unable to pray, we felt lifted constantly on the prayers of God's people.
Thank you all so much for your love and support through this time. Thus far, Yana is healing super fast, and they marvel at her strength. Yes, the little tinge of red in her hair has come through again. She is stubborn and wilful, and a real fighter. Praise the Lord!!!!
To pray for: Continued strength and healing for her. They're going to take out some of her chest tubes today. some of those are very painful... And she has a neck tube they'll take out as well. But we continue to ask for God's protection against infection and illness. Thanks again for continuing to hold us up so faithfully to our Lord in prayer. God is good, all the time.
