Okay everyone. They're ready to let us go, but Yana's not ready yet. Her O2 stats dipped into the 60s today when we turned the O2 off. So that's a little too bad, but it's probably for the best. Yana still has those drainage tubes sticking out of her ribs, and she will get a whole lot better a whole lot quicker once those tubes are gone.
In the meantime, they want us to get her up and around as much as possible. Walking and upright. We did some of that today, and it was good to see her in the toy area playing, ever so gingerly, with the different toys. Another little heart baby came and joined us for play time, so she had a little interaction there too.
We're not quite taking "baby steps" to get out of here. More like "Yana steps," and that's probably about perfect. All in God's timing. Maybe tomorrow... We'll see and let you know as soon as we're ready to move out. Likely we will move to my parents' place in Leduc for a few days so that she can come in for daily clinics and take those final steps.
They want us to do this because she will do so much better once she's not in the hospital. She desperately wants out, and has been crying to "go home." That's today. Until tomorrow.

We're waiting for the good news that Yana and her crew are allowed to leave the hospital - God grant it may be soon, as her oxygen levels approach normal. This is the time when much extra patience is needed.........."Dear God, grant us patience, but make it SOON!!" :) Much love - Janette and Joe S.
